Gleichgewicht began as a consultancy in 2017, working primarily with London based brands to ideate and sample pieces for production. Since relocating the firm has worked internationally while focusing on local NYC brands and supporting a creative community with problem solving.
Gleichgewicht specialized in working with small businesses and creative groups to work within the box of their needs to produce optimized results from ideation to end of the line production and everything in between. Notable clients include Sang Bleu, Craighill, Tiffany & Co, and MSCHF.

What does Gleichgewicht do?
• Gleichgewicht is a solutions-based creative endeavor. Its production lines GLEICH and NULL balance the scales with a consultancy that has been solving creative problems since 2016.
Where is Gleichgewicht made?
• All sterling silver jewelry is made and finished in NYC by Lorenz Mager. Custom projects may require external services, which will be shared with the client before initiating.
Is Sterling Silver safe?
• Yes. Generally, sterling silver is skin safe, though some—especially with copper allergies—may experience oxidation due to the 7.5% copper content. For clients with skin conditions or allergies, alternative alloys or surface treatments are available.
Will my jewelry change over time?
• Yes! Sterling jewelry is like raw denim, taking on a patina and the scars of day-to-day life with wear. Beat it up, it can take it. Blemishes can be polished. Dark spots can be easily cleaned. And should an accident occur, pieces can be repaired by Gleichgewicht, or we will track down a local jeweler for you.
Can I customize?
• Gleichgewicht utilizes a modular design platform. Many customizations are available, from simple combinations to special finishes, engravings, stone settings, or completely custom designs and fabrications. Reach out to make something uniquely your own.
What does a custom piece cost?
• Send your budget, and we’ll make choices together for the best results in your price range. Fair and balanced is our namesake. Graphic alterations and engravings can be quite economical, whereas fully designed and fabricated pieces will reflect the cost of their materials and process. Reach out to discuss your needs.
What is fabrication turnaround time?
• Some pieces may be pre-cast and ready for production (ex: Dog Tags and some Rings), but most products will require time to produce from pulling and casting wax, to assembly and finishing. Please provide a minimum 2-week lead time, though everything will be done to dispatch ASAP. Custom orders will complete in accordance with the project callouts.

Can you repair?
• Gleichgewicht pieces are designed to be heirlooms with modular repairability in mind. If needed, contact customer service to send in a repair.
