Gleichgewicht, by jeweler Lorenz Mager, is a brand and consultancy focused on measured approaches, modular thinking, and finding dynamic solutions across markets since 2017.

A German-American transplanted to Metro Detroit as a child, Lorenz was introduced to design at Cranbrook and trained at Rhode Island School of Design and Glasgow School of Art. He consulted with UK brands A-Cold-Wall and Sang Bleu before moving to New York, where he designed and produced with Craighill.

Lorenz joined fellow RISD collaborators at MSCHF as a production fabricator for Jesus Shoes before serving as MSCHF’s Lead Creative Project Manager from 2019 to 2023. At MSCHF, he designed metal elements and produced projects, including Birkinstocks, Satan Shoes, Guns2Swords, The Ultimate Participation Trophy, Vinyl Blades, and all art installations, culminating in their record-breaking seminal show at Galerie Perrotin, No More Tears, I’m Lovin It. Throughout his tenure, Lorenz continued to consult and produce custom jewelry for gallery, print, runway, and market under the Gleichgewicht label.

Today, Gleichgewicht represents the culmination of professional focuses, presenting a core collection of sterling silver daily wearables with a fine art jeweler's touch. Works can be customized or act as reference for unique projects and other creative evolutions, from artworks to home goods to any problem worth solving. Gleichgewicht.
